My Thoughts

Alternatives for large tubes Watercolors by Daler-Rowney are a decent option in terms of both quality and cost. If you have access to cheaper local brands where you reside, the price may make them less practical, but I believe most people won't make a mistake using these watercolors.

System 3 by Daler Rowney is a high calibre student level range. Although I discovered it doesn't always have the best opacity, it has a pretty thick and smooth consistency that holds brushstrokes remarkably well. With the exception of the bright colours, the works produced with these paints should endure for a long time because they employ fairly lightfast pigments that are well labeled.

Consistency

Pigments are what give color to paint. System 3 acrylic paints include vibrant, brilliant color. A single pigment or a combination of pigments can be used to create colours. The best option is to buy primary colour pigments separately and combine them to make all other colours.

Unlike other companies, System 3 Paints provide a variety of single pigmented acrylic paints. One pigment with the designation "PR112" makes up the colour I've also selected with a cadmium red undertone. Therefore, if you require red colour, it is an excellent option.

According to the website for Daler and Rowny, System 3 paints are made with premium pigments. However, since Daler and Rowney do not currently provide a line of professional acrylic paints, it is impossible to compare the calibre of their artist- and student-grade acrylic paint pigments.

The following are some of the single pigmented acrylic colors that are worth buying if you are into system 3 acrylic paint.

Yellow: Lemon yellow, Cadmium yellow deep hue, yellow ochre

Red: Cadmium red hue, Vermilion Hue

Blue: Ultramarine blue, Phthalo Blue

Titanium white

Burnt Sienna

Total coverage

I have painted a square in black and let it to dry in order to determine the whole coverage. I then examined how well that black rectangle may be covered with System 3 acrylic paint. The findings I came to are listed below. As you can see, the paint is completely covered, which is extremely spectacular. However, two coats of paint are used to cover this area instead of just one. System 3 acrylics provide really remarkable coverage when compared to other student-grade products. This indicates that System 3 paints also have a high pigment concentration.

Opacity

There are three opacities for Stem 3 acrylic paint. They are translucent, semi-transparent, and opaque. The label of a paint tube contains information on opacity. The following indicators show them to be present. The System 3 acrylic paint series includes 11 opaque, 24 semi-opaque, and 19 transparent hues. This printable document has the information you need to verify it. The bad news is that the paint line only has a small number of single pigmented opaque hues. The opaque colours, such titanium white, were combined with all the other opaque colours.

Drying qualities

When opposed to oil paints, which may take days to months to dry, acrylic paint is distinguished by its ability to dry quickly. Like most other acrylic paints, Daler Rowney System 3 acrylic paints dry in 10 to 20 minutes.
By combining acrylic paint with an acrylic paint retarder, you may also lengthen the drying period of acrylic paint. To extend the working or open times of System 3 acrylic paint, use System3 Slow Drying Gel. But there aren't many of them around.

Finishing

Acrylic paints from System 3 have a statin finish. Additionally, the paint is finished evenly and without streaks. The pigment is well-concentrated in the thick paint. The paint finishing is therefore excellent for acrylic paint intended for students.

Accessibility

Acrylic paints from System 3 are widely available. The Daler and Rowney acrylic mediums, however, are less widely accessible. However, acrylic mediums from a company like Liquitex are an option.

Different sizes of System 3 acrylic paints are offered. They come in 59ml, 150ml, 500ml, 1 litre, 2.25 litre, and set sizes. System 3 acrylic paints come in a variety of colours that may be bought separately.

Cons

  Slightly overpriced
Don’t have excellent coverage as artist-grade acrylic paint
There are fewer single pigmented opaque colors
Most colors are a mixture of pigments
Daler Rowney acrylic mediums are less accessible
   Weak opacity

Score

It’s a water color and don’t like watercolor more than simple colors so I score 7/10👈
